From the Frido Kordon Hut (1,649 m) to the summit of the Stubeck (2,370 m). The Stubeck is located in the Lieser-Maltatal region in the Ankogel group in Carinthia. At the summit, there is a magnificent panoramic view into the Maltatal up to the Hohe Tauern, to the Nockberge and to the south to the Karawanks and the Julian Alps. A leisurely, moderately difficult hike, also very suitable for children!
The route starts just above the Frido Kordon Hut (1,649 m) and follows marker 558. You leave the forest behind and reach an alpine fence, which you follow in a long but moderately steep ascent to the summit cross (2,370 m). The descent follows the same path.
