The stations of the cross are also worth visiting, and it is a very beautiful and not too strenuous walk.
Please choose the center of Mauthen as your starting point. The path has slight inclines and can be extended by a hike to Lamprechtbauer (duration: + 2 hours).

Arrival by car:
From Hermagor via the B111 (Gail Valley Road) or from Oberdrauburg via the B110 (Plöcken Pass Road) to Kötschach-Mauthen.
The most sustainable travel option is by train to Oberdrauburg (coming from Lienz or Villach) or to Hermagor (coming from Villach).
From Oberdrauburg or Hermagor, you can then reach the mountaineering village of Mauthen by bus.
