VELOVISTA Day 1 Villach-Lake Klopein

The journey starts in Villach. The first stage follows the famous Drau Cycle Path along the Drau river, which is also a section of the Carinthian Seenschleife. Participants ride through the idyllic Rosental with a culinary stop in Ferlach. The destination is Lake Klopein, Europe's warmest bathing lake, located in southern Carinthia.

Upon arrival at Lake Klopein, it's time to get off the bike and relax. With a delicious, exclusively created lake cocktail (with or without alcohol), the picturesque lake landscape can be enjoyed twice as much.

Freshly strengthened and refreshed, the big Carinthian evening begins. Shuttle trains are set up and bring guests free of charge to the event center K3. The event center is also easily accessible on foot.

Traditional live music - choirs, folk dance groups, and music bands - interpreted in a modern way, accompany us through the evening into the night. Culinary stations with South Carinthian delicacies, from Jauntal salami over the Had’n association to Slow Food producers from the Lavanttal, indulge the palate with world-famous Carinthian cuisine. The highlight of the evening is the premiere of the water multimedia show “Lake Klopein in Motion.”
