The cycling and mountain bike route around the Oswaldiberg starts directly at Vassacher See and first leads a short distance uphill to Vassach, a district of Villach. From there, you can already enjoy the first view over the city of Villach and the Dobratsch Nature Park. After an impressive view of the Carinthian mountains, you immerse yourself fully in nature. Enjoy the sound of the stream as you pedal up the forest road through the Eichholzgraben. After the Eichholzgraben, it goes directly back down into the town of Treffen at Ossiacher See. Passing the steeply falling east side of the Oswaldiberg, you follow the bike path back to Vassacher See.
From the Vassacher See parking lot, cross the main road. Then briefly turn left and immediately right towards Oswaldiberg. After about 0.5 km, turn left and follow the signposting "route around the Oswaldiberg." Along the signposting, keep right at the next junction. After about 0.5 km, you will pass through the village of Großvassach, always keeping right. You will reach the next intersection after a few hundred meters. Here again, follow the signposting to the right. Follow the road through the Eichholzgraben, where after about 3 km you reach the highest point of the route. Once there, turn right towards Treffen at Ossiacher See. Please adjust your speed on the descent and watch out for oncoming vehicles and pedestrians. Upon reaching the valley, turn right and follow the signposting and road route towards Töbring. In Töbring itself, ride past the tourist information office, go under the underpass, and immediately afterwards turn right. After a short climb, you will reach the bike path, which takes you the last kilometer back to the starting point of the route.
