On the French front

A route between the Picard plateau and the Somme Valley! You will discover places steeped in history that bear witness to the Great War.
At the tourist office, when passing in front of the Historial de la Grande Guerre, be sure to stop there. Follow the Somme canal towards Biaches. Cross Biaches, Flaucourt, Assevillers, Fay. In this last one, you can see the ruins of the former village. Then head to the Haute-Picardie TGV station. From Soyécourt, take the way to Bois de Wallieux. Pass in front of the trenches of Bois de Wallieux. Then pass through Vermandovillers, Marchélepot, Saint-Christ-Briost. At Pont de Brie, pass under the Brunehaut causeway. At Eterpigny, catch up with the towpath, then leave it at the entrance to Péronne and return to the tourist office.
