Bergsee Almsee

• The Almsee in the Almtal - jewel of the Alps *

The Almsee is situated in the middle of a nature reserve in the "Bergsteigerdorf" Grünau im Almtal and has an area of 0.85 km² and a maximum depth of 5 m. On the east bank there is a gravel bank where you can swim. The lake provides the necessary cooling on hot summer days.

The area with its majestic mountain backdrop of the Dead Mountains and its fascinating animal world has remained a "jewel of the Alps" to this day and is particularly ideal for hiking.

The area of the Seeausrinn at the north end is also most suitable for cooling down.

At the southern end of the mountain lake there is the Gasthaus Seehaus and the Almsee kiosk by the parking lot.
