Pack your backpack for a cozy barbecue. The fireplace is equipped with a table set and firewood.
From the square on the eastern side, follow the Valser Rhein downstream to Gäud. There, cross the bridge and go a short way on the road towards Ilanz. After the gallery, follow the signpost to the right into the forest, descending gently down the slope downstream to the Tüüfelstei. Return the same way from there. Continue into the village via the road or alternatively on the other side of the dam path.

Via Chur-Flims-Laax-Ilanz to Vals.
Take the SBB to Chur, then the RhB to Ilanz, and from Ilanz take the PostAuto to Vals.
Public paid parking Bidem, at the Vals schoolhouse or at the Vals cable car (CHF 5/day).
