The start and finish point is located at the height of the Wangen community center in front of the Niedertor gate. Parking is available on site. The walk lasts approximately 1h30 and takes you through the Wangen vineyard up to the summit of the Wangenberg. It is a free access route.
The route passes by several shelters of the Club Vosgien (Maien shelter, Wangenberg shelter), a three-century-old oak tree, and the summit of the Wangenberg where there was a lookout at the beginning of the 20th century. You will need to exit the forest to enjoy a 180° panoramic view ranging from the Valsberg Pass to Mont Sainte-Odile, passing by Schnneberg, the Donon Massif, and the Champ du Feu Massif. Have a good hike!
