Daily stages:

1. Neustift / Lafnitz – Bad Schönau: Cycling tour along the thermal cycle path and Eurovelo 9 via Mönichkirchen (the highest point of the tour at almost 988m above sea level) to Aspang and from there continuing on the Zöberntal cycle path to Bad Schönau. Distance approx. 50 km

2. Bad Schönau - Szombathely Rabnitztal cycle path: across the A/H border to Köszeg - Eurovelo 13 (Iron Curtain Trail), or at Köszegszerdahely switch to the "Vasi Challenge" route and continue on to Szombathely, the largest city in this region. Distance approx. 70 km

3. Szombathely - Hagensdorf: Today you will cycle along the "Vasi Challenge" route. At Körmend you cross the border again to Hagensdorf. Tip: The church of Ják is a must! Distance approx. 45 km

4. Hagensdorf – Jennersdorf: Today cycle relaxed along the Paradise Route Südburgenland and get to know the southernmost Südburgenland. Distance: approx. 40 km. Tip: Güssing Castle. A detour to the tripoint (A,H,SLO) or to Tabor Castle south of Jennersdorf is also worth it.

5. Jennersdorf – Wollsdorf: After a short ride on the Paradise Route Südburgenland, leave it at Loipersdorf (Thermal Spa) to continue your journey on the "Wine Country Tour East Styria". The Rittscheintal and the Raabtal accompany you today. Distance: approx. 60 km

6. Wollsdorf – Hartberg: Today you continue on the "Wine Country Tour" from the Raabtal to the beautiful Feistritztal. Tip: Stubenberg Lake, gorge cycling. Distance: approx. 60 km

7. Hartberg – Neustift / Lafnitz: Today is a cool-down ride. Enjoy the last meters on Eurovelo 9 from Hartberg to Neustift/Lafnitz, your destination. The Heurigenstadl Ehrenhöfer is the ideal place to say goodbye to this wonderful region with culinary delights.

Since the cycling routes occasionally change on this large, varied loop, we recommend (especially for the Hungarian part) a bike GPS or a navigation-enabled smartphone. Downloads are available at www.outdooractive.com (QR codes). Most cycling routes are very well signposted.
