You can follow in the footsteps of the lion in the Göppingen district: The Löwenpfade stand for hiking with quality standards and attract with impressive views, varied natural landscapes, and mysterious places. Sixteen circular hiking routes, ranging from 3 to 24 kilometers long, offer hiking fun for almost every taste.
The Löwenpfad "Weitblick-Tour" between Gingen and Geislingen an der Steige is a circular hiking trail certified by the German Hiking Association in the category "dream route." The approximately 12.1-kilometer route starts at the SC parking lot and initially leads to the entrance of the Längental, the smallest of the five valleys in Geislingen an der Steige. Passing idyllic allotment gardens, we proceed up to the Swabian Jura plateau. With Kuchalb, Maierhalde, and Hohenstein, wonderful viewpoints await us there at an altitude of about 700 meters, offering a fantastic view of the Albtrauf as well as the fore-Alb region up to Stuttgart.
We hike on a short section of the Albsteig before a narrow natural trail leads us back from the Hohenstein lookout rock via Gingen to the Geislinger Tegelberg. This section also follows part of stage four of the Albtraufgänger.

Respectful coexistence in the Göppingen district.
Code of conduct:
Respect trail closures and the quiet zones developed in the leisure trail concept. Leave no traces such as litter or animal droppings; treat your trail gently. Act thoughtfully and considerately. Adapt your behavior to the situation. Safety first. Respect other users of forest and field. Be considerate of animals and plants. Plan ahead and use daylight. Try to avoid twilight in the morning and evening. Observe the prohibition of entering agriculturally used areas during the growing season. Stay on designated paths and avoid forest edges so wild animals can better get used to humans.More information at ruecksicht-macht-wege-breiter.de
The highlight of the circular hike is the kilometre-long narrow natural trail from the Hohenstein lookout rock via Gingen to the panorama trail above Geislingen at the Tegelberg, especially in the lower afternoon sun when a beautiful lighting atmosphere awaits us.
