The beginner-friendly route leads along the bike path to Marxzell, where a short stop at the vehicle museum is worthwhile before the ascent to Pfaffenrot. The romantic Holzbachtal leads us to the elevated districts Neusatz and Rotensol. Here we can enjoy breathtaking views before descending quickly back to Bad Herrenalb.
From Bad Herrenalb we take the well-developed bike path parallel to Albtalstraße, which starts at the roundabout (town exit towards Karlsruhe) and leads through the forest with slight ups and downs to Marxzell. In Marxzell, we turn at the town’s end towards Pfaffenrot to test our battery! A short descent first takes us into the Maisenbachtal and then into the Holzbachtal, which we follow gently uphill to the Feldrennacher brook. Following the road and signage, we reach Neusatz, here we follow the road to the church and then towards the sports ground/fire department. From there, we ride directly to Schwarzwaldstraße in Rotensol past the cemetery and then follow the road back to Bad Herrenalb. Before the rapid and rewarding descent back to Bad Herrenalb, we enjoy the breathtaking view towards Karlsruhe.
E-bike ideally a touring or mountain bike.
