Pfützenhäusle Trail
Easy beginner route through dense forests, past clearings and with breathtaking views.
Start at Kurhaus Dobel, over the Sonnenweg with wide views west to the Palatinate Forest and the Rhine Plain, past the water tower towards the sports field, short break at Pfützenhäusle (connecting path to the Bad Herrenalb trail network), but we walk left into the inviting forest path with clearings, past the plant garden hut and after about 400 m left down to the idyllic Mannenbach with its unique spring pond. From there, it goes with a slight ascent (Postweilerweg) over the Kreuzwasen into the village until you return to the Kurhaus.

You can reach our health resort by car from the A8 coming from Stuttgart via Pforzheim (west motorway exit) continuing towards Birkenfeld, Neuenbürg, Straubenhardt, then towards Dobel.
From the A5 motorway also coming from Karlsruhe, take exit 47 towards Ettlingen. Continue on L562 towards Bad Herrenalb through the beautiful Alb valley. From Bad Herrenalb, you are only 5 km away from the lovely Dobel.
By bus to Dobel, town center.
You can easily reach Dobel from Pforzheim by public transport using bus line 716 in just 50 minutes. From Karlsruhe take tram line 1 ending at Bad Herrenalb. From there, buses 716, X63, or 719 will take you to Dobel.
Parking, free from April to November at Kurhaus Dobel.
Enjoy the view from the former water tower and today's observation tower daily from May to October between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
