This route begins with a visit to the church.
Built in 1783 and dedicated to Saint Guérin, it is sober and full of charm.
To the right of the entrance, a sign outlines its history. After the church, take the first road on the left.
It passes the remarkable "maison rouge", with its beautiful front door and a curtain wall* paved with pebbles.
Turning left again, the route returns behind the church to take the curved path.
A lovely panorama opens up over the Giffre Valley, the village of Morillon and the resorts of Morillon and Samoëns.
Continuing downhill through woodland, mostly beech, with a few oaks and yews, the path reaches the place known as "Charnière Lornaz".
Go straight on past the cross, along a small road that quickly gives way to a pretty path, and you reach the intersection with the path leading to the Valentine footbridge.
On the left, you will notice the remains of the ram, a hydraulic system used to bring water up to the pool in the hamlet of Lornaz where the path leads.
At the houses of Lornaz, well shaded under a large lime tree, note a new curtain wall, this time paved with wooden logs driven vertically into the ground.
A little above the hamlet, there is a panoramic view of La Bourgeoise, Les Avoudrues, Le Criou and Le Buet.
The path becomes wider and continues past an oratory shortly before entering the village of Verchaix. From here, you have a 180° view of the Pointe du Marcelly and Le Môle.
It takes just a few minutes to reach the church in Verchaix.
