MTB Circuit 126 - Tour of the pelaude city

After passing through the old Coise, you will arrive in the pelaude city. Its inhabitants, the Pelauds, get their name from the tanning activity, once flourishing in the town. The tanners, whose houses with characteristic balconies are still visible, "pelaient" the animal skins to make leather, hence the name "Pelauds". Upon reaching the town center, you will not fail to observe the 15th-century collegiate church, a gothic jewel built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the town.
The last part of the loop will take you away from the urban area to descend back to the banks of the Coise, using part of the Saint James Way.
Although this 7 km loop is accessible for families, some fairly sporty sections will remind you that the Monts du Lyonnais are a magnificent playground for mountain bikers.
