Awesome tandem flights starting in Königsleiten or Hochkrimml
One of the most amazing ski areas to do paragliding tandem flights all year long is the Zillertal Arena. VIP-Paragliding is the only tandem paragliding company starting from Gerlosplatte and Königsleitenspitze. Both spots are fantastic for starts on ski (winter only of course) and on foot (all year). Landing sites are Gerlos, Krimml, Wald, Königsleiten and Sonnwendkopf valley station (big parking).

Königsleitenspitze stands 2315m tall so this starting location is quite a bit higher than most tandem paragliding starting sites in Austria. We are above the treeline, in the summertime cows grazing in winter ski and snowboard lovers roaming about.
Admitted: Gerlosplatte – our other starting location – is just 2000m …. but from here we fly down all the way to Krimml 1000m below, and fly by the famous waterfalls!
