4 Alps hike

With the Gampel-Jeizinen cable car you ride comfortably up to the mountain station in the idyllic mountain village of Jeizinen. With a steady gentle ascent, you go from the village fountain along the well-developed path towards Unneri Meiggualp. You are accompanied by shading forests and species-rich alpine meadows. The information boards along the way inform you about events from old times, and you learn how the field names are called in the Valais dialect. After a short ascent amidst larches and alpine roses to Oberi Meiggualp, you enjoy the fantastic panoramic view over the Valais Alps. The Meiggusee promises cool swimming fun and offers plenty of space for an extensive picnic. On the further route over the vast meadows at Heruhubel, you enjoy the unique panorama of the Rhone Valley and the Lötschental. Over the Upper and the Lower Feselalp, you return to Jeizinen. Finally, by train or on foot on the old mule track, you reach Gampel again.
