The climb from Tovena to Passo San Boldo is one of the most iconic cycling routes in the Venetian Pre-Alps, capable of combining historical charm, spectacular scenery and great sporting tradition. The famous "100 Days Road," built during World War I, climbs to the pass through 18 striking hairpin bends, many of them carved into the rock and featuring natural tunnels and scenic passages.
The route has also become legendary thanks to cycling: in the 1966 Giro d'Italia it was tackled by Jacques Anquetil and Gianni Motta, while in 2019 the Corsa Rosa returned to set these bends ablaze with a unique atmosphere and thousands of fans along the climb.
Cycling to Passo San Boldo means a complete experience: regular but challenging gradients, panoramic views of the valleys between Treviso and Belluno, and a road that is a symbol of Italian cycling culture.
