The Palantina Freeride Trail Bike Tour is an adrenaline-pumping route designed for experienced bikers, combining dirt road sections and technical single track in a fascinating mountain environment. The trail starts from Col Indes in Tambre (about 1100 m) and climbs to Casera Palantina (1600 m), a vantage point from which there are sweeping views of Alpago and the surrounding Belluno Dolomites.
From here the most exciting part begins: a long descent to Farra d'Alpago (400 m), characterized by steep and technical sections, typical of enduro riding. The trail requires good bike mastery and ability to deal with variable, often uneven and natural terrain.
The tour can be tackled by e-bike, preferably full suspension, or by using bike shuttle services for ascent. The route is recommended for trained cyclists with experience on technical trails, while it is not recommended for beginners. A complete experience combining sport, nature and adrenaline.
The start is from Col Indes (about 1100 m). Follow the dirt road uphill until you reach Casera Palantina (1600 m). From here you take the trail in the direction of Farra d'Alpago, following the freeride track.
The descent is on single track with steep and technical sections alternating with smoother sections. The trail ends in Farra d'Alpago (about 400 m). It is possible to organize the return via bike shuttle or by own means.
E-bike or full suspension MTB, helmet mandatory, protectors (knee and elbow pads), gloves, goggles. Backpack with water, snacks, repair kit and appropriate technical clothing.
Tackle the trail only when properly prepared: always check the weather conditions and the condition of the trail before setting off. The ground can be slippery, especially after rains, and the trail has steep sections without side protection.
From Belluno it is easy to reach the Tambre area by taking the provincial road in the direction of Alpago. The journey takes about 40 minutes
From Belluno you can use Dolomiti Bus suburban buses bound for Alpago, with connections to Farra d'Alpago and Tambre.
