The circular route starts in the center of Vesser village and initially leads to the Vessertal jump, a historic point, before gently winding up to the Hohe Leist. From there, you have a wonderful view of the Vesser valley.
Next, it goes to Schneidemühle, a traditional place of wood processing, before reaching the Sensenhammer, which bears witness to the region's former craftsmanship.
From here, the route leads to Breitenbach and further through the Breitenbach valley, an idyllic landscape with meadows and forest edges. At the fitness trail, you can, if desired, test your fitness with small exercises.
Past Hirtenbrunnen and Erdeberg, you arrive at Stelzenwiesengrund, which, with its open meadows, offers a particularly beautiful nature experience. After a short section, you reach the riding stable and finally the mare house.
The last part of the route takes you via the new meadow back to Vesser, where the round path closes.

Please pay attention to typical forest hazards and signs from ThüringenForst. Please stay on the paths!
Always remember that you are not only in a nature reserve but even in a biosphere reserve. The use of open fire is strictly prohibited throughout the Vesser valley area. Also, disposing of trash is only allowed at designated places (rest areas with trash bins).
Coming from the A71, exit 16 (Ilmenau West) and continue on L3004 towards Ilmenau. Follow the road through the town towards Stützerbach / Schmiedefeld am Rennsteig. At the Rennsteig crossroads, continue straight towards Schmiedefeld am Rennstieg / Suhl. Turn off towards Vesser at the village entrance.
You can reach Vesser by bus from Suhl (line K towards Vesser).
Use the parking lots in the center of Vesser (Google NAV point) and the motorhome parking lot with a parking area at the entrance to the village (Google NAV point)
