Backcountry ski tour Bachlalm

Ascent: beautiful ski tour at the foot of the Dachstein south faces. The route starts at the Dachsteinruhe inn past the Schaidlam towards Bachlalm.

Descent: along the ascent route.

Going on a route without proper preparation and equipment is reckless. Not only is your own life carelessly risked, but also that of your mountain companions who are in the same region. 

Must-have items on the route: avalanche transceiver, mobile phone, shovel, avalanche probe, first aid kit, sufficient food and drinks, possibly additional clothing for changing.

On the day of the route: read the avalanche report and weather forecast and check their impact on the planned route – possibly adjust or cancel the route. Are all participants fit and healthy enough to go on the route? If not, adjust or cancel the route.

Via A10 Tauern motorway - exit Eben im Pongau - continue on Filzmooser state road to the roundabout - here follow the road to the parking lot at the Bachlalm turnoff (shortly before the Dachsteinruhe inn).
