Seehäuser Försterweg through Barsberge

The path starts in the Seehäuser Forest at the Barsberge car park. It goes up to 60 meters high. It is varied and characterized by a beautiful forest landscape. Along the way, you will encounter, among other things, a shelter and the remains of an old brown coal open-cast mine, where cartilage coal was mined until 1876. You should definitely take a break at the Forsthaus Barsberge, an excursion inn. Next to the guesthouse, the last resting place of Seehäuser foresters has been found - and many dogs in a large dog cemetery.

 On developed and signposted paths, you can hike through wonderful forest areas and untouched landscapes. Get familiar with nature and the sights of our Altmark homeland. Rest areas along the route invite you to linger and enjoy flora and fauna. In close proximity, fallow deer can be observed in an enclosure.
