The dream route Spitzer Stein runs, as the name suggests, around the viewing tower on the striking rock located at the municipal boundaries of St. Goar, Urbar and Niederburg.
Architecturally very interesting: The new steel tower next to the historic tower from the 18th century. The new tower picks up the old telegraphy system according to Claude Chappé. More details on site, including self-telegraphing.
But not only from the tower, also along the way there are repeatedly wide views as far as the Taunus, the Loreley and the Katz and Maus castles. Historical info boards on St. Goar and Biebernheim complete the hiking experience.
You can rest in three huts: on Spitzen Stein, in the Thiergarten, and in the Krähen hut. And at the Krähen hut you can also have your photo taken with the impressive Biebernheimer Quetschehannes made of steel.
Gastronomy awaits hikers in Biebernheim or with a short detour via the stairway path in St. Goar.
