The route continues multifacetedly up the Lahn. Especially lovers of views and culture will be thrilled by this stage. Whether Nassau Castle, the Leaning Tower of Dausenau, a winged altar from the 15th century, or the second oldest half-timbered town hall in Germany – the day is actually too short to see everything. Nice dining options in Nassau ensure physical well-being. On the Concordia Tower, the Hohe Lay, or at the Kuxlay, "viewers" get their money's worth. A real route of superlatives – it should be mentioned that about 750 meters of elevation are managed. You can then treat yourself to a hearty Lahn wine in one of the cozy wine taverns in Obernhof. So plan enough time to enjoy everything.
Immediately after starting at the Kurhaus, the path leads through a parking garage! This is certainly rare on Germany's hiking trails. Behind the parking garage, it then goes steeply uphill in a zigzag. Over the Bäderlei with the Heinzelmann caves and numerous viewpoints, you finally reach the Concordia Tower with its viewing platform.
From here, the path descends leisurely until the city wall of Dausenau appears. It is worth briefly leaving the Lahnwanderweg here to stroll through the picturesque town center with the second oldest Gothic half-timbered town hall in Germany and to visit the Leaning Tower.
After the city tour, the Lahnwanderweg crosses the Lahn bridge and then steeply ascends to the Kuxlay. High above the Lahn, this is a good place to take a break. Those who have time and inclination should also make a detour to Nassau Castle and enjoy the beautiful view there. Then it goes past the Freiherr-vom-Stein monument to Nassau with its lovely town hall.
A forest path leads behind Nassau up to the Hohe Lay. A metal staircase leads to the viewing platform with a view of Arnstein Monastery and Langenau Castle. Behind Weinähr with the Gelbach riverbank, a well-secured nature trail leads to the rock nose of the Adelhahn. From here, the path continues via the Adelhahn via ferrata. No climbing equipment is needed for this. However, you should be sure-footed and not afraid of heights, as there are three metal ladders to overcome. Those who do not trust themselves can simply go straight ahead below the rock nose of the Adelhahn and follow the signposted easy variant of the Lahnwanderweg. Shortly before Langenaublick, both variants meet again. From there, it's only a stone's throw to Obernhof. Passing cozy wine taverns, you will sooner or later reach the Lahn bridge.
