UFFBASSE! - Campaign for considerate coexistence in nature
Be considerate on the way - Always behave with foresight, friendliness, and consideration towards everyone you meet on the way. This is especially true on farm roads where winegrowers, farmers, and foresters also work on weekends.
Picnic & waste - Remember to carry a rubbish bag with you and take your waste back home. Use only the furnished rest areas for breaks & picnics.

Today's stage destination and thus also the end of your hiking route is the town Wissembourg in neighboring France. To get there, leave the town of Klingenmünster via Steinstraße. As soon as you leave the residential area, turn left. The path leads you over Kirchberg to the neighboring town Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach.
You cross this via Bergstraße and Dionysiusstraße passing the St. Dionysius Chapel. Continue on the path and then turn into Lettengasse. Through Lettengasse you reach the main street, into which you turn right, then at the next opportunity immediately left into Schlemmergasse. Now walk to the end of the street and then turn right into the vineyards. From here follow the trail marker of the Deutsche Weinstraße hiking trail, which bypasses Pleisweiler-Oberhofen and then descends towards Bad Bergzabern.
From here the Weinstraße hiking trail runs through the Bad Bergzabern spa park, at the end of which there is a large information board. From there the path continues over vineyards and through the forest to the neighboring village Dörrenbach. Wiesenstraße and the following main street lead you directly through the village. Follow the main street to the Torsten Rapp winery and turn left there onto Übergasse. Stay left on Übergasse, then after a short way goes into the forest again. Alternating over forest and vineyards it goes to the next village, Oberotterbach. Via Lenkerweg you enter the village. There you come across Guttenbergstraße, where you turn right to then immediately turn left at the next opportunity into Handwerksgasse. At the end of Handwerksgasse, turn right into Oberdorfstraße. Follow this street and turn left at the second opportunity into Hummelsgasse, which leads you out of the village.
Along the forest edge it continues to Schweigen-Rechtenbach. Follow the path to the German Weintor, the gateway to the Deutsche Weinstraße and also the symbol of the twin community Schweigen-Rechtenbach. Here ends the hiking trail Deutsche Weinstraße, but you are not quite at your destination yet. On a direct path it goes with the marking "Yellow stripe" or "Red circle on white background" to Wissembourg, the final destination of your hiking route.
Due to tunnel construction around Bad Bergzabern, a small detour had to be made for this section of the Deutsche Weinstraße hiking trail. You can find this directly in the route and signposted on site.
