The Ephrussi de Rothschild villa-museum and its gardensA site, a house with incomparable gardens, built at the beginning of the 20th century by Baroness Ephrussi who named it Ile de France. It is now a museum. Villa where many stars stayed.
The area of the first villas of St JeanThe first villas appeared here from 1880 (current Maurice Rouvier promenade). One of the oldest is the villa “Lo Scoglietto” (The Little Rock in Italian, today Fleur du Cap) whose successive owners included Charlie Chaplin and David Niven.
The Primavera villaOn the small point located between the Fosses beach and the Fossettes beach, Ernest Cunard, founder of the “Cunard Line” had the villa “Primavera” built in the 1880s. Haring Philips became owner between the two wars. President Giscard d’Estaing stayed there in 1974.
The Fiorentina villaThe Countess of Beauchamp had a large house built in 1917 in the heart of a 22-hectare park which she named “La Fiorentina”. She sold the property to Sir Edmund Davis, diamond mine magnate to whom much of the tourist trail bordering the small peninsula is owed.
Sainte Hospice, the chapel and the story of the hermitBuilt in the 19th century on an old oratory commemorating the place where the hermit Saint-Hospice lived around 580. Nearby is the statue of the Virgin.

From the parking lot, climb the stairs leading to Denis Semeria avenue and follow it inland for about 200m,
then at no. 30, take the stone stairs on the right that cut across Denis Semeria avenue a little further at a bus stop.
Turn right to join Ephrussi de Rothschild avenue that gives access to the villa, the museum and the gardens.
From the villa, then take the stairs descending on the ridge among luxury houses that end by joining Jean Monnet avenue.
Turn right along this avenue for about 200 m, then right again onto Maurice Rouvier promenade which leads, by the sea, to the Saint-Jean port. Follow this to reach Mermoz avenue and go to the end of it to the beginning of Fossettes promenade.
This allows you to go around the Saint-Hospice point.
Back at the intersection with Jean Mermoz avenue, turn left onto Claude Vignon avenue to return to the port area and the parking lot.
