Sentiero Balcone della Val Susa stage 7: Cesana Torinese - Sauze di Cesana

A seventh stage in the heart of the Upper Susa Valley: from Cesana Torinese you ascend to the arrival of the Rafuyel – Sagnalonga chairlift, in the Massarello area, then descend again toward the SS24 of the Monginevro, skirt the Little Dora stream and reach the bend of the Gran Volta.

From here, follow the path that passes through the Gorges of San Gervasio, a gorge between imposing pale rock walls very suggestive, and reach the green meadows outside the village of Claviere, then ascend Val Gimont keeping the mid-slope until Costa Luna. After passing the ridge, the descent begins toward Capanna Mautino and Lago Nero, then ascend to Col Begino, which allows descent to Chabaud, Rhuilles and Thures, then the long traverse along the slopes of Cima Bosco until reaching the village of Sauze di Cesana.
