Lou Viage: Tappa 16 Borgata Perdioni - Pianetto

From Locanda La Randoulina, take a right for 700 meters on SP 337, then turn right onto a road towards Bergemolo (1,213m), which is reached after about three kilometers. At the church and a monumental elm tree, turn left to reach the old part of Bergemolo. The asphalt road turns into a dirt road; at the next intersection, turn left onto a dirt road. Now continue eastward through a beech forest. You will come to a fork, keep right and start descending until the road becomes asphalt again, then turns back to dirt. Continue uphill to the south until you reach a small path on the left leading to the chapel of Madonna della Consolata (992 m). After passing the chapel and a pillar in the east direction, the road becomes a mule track and descends into a chestnut forest. At the following intersections, keep right. The mule track now becomes a dirt road and shortly after, at Festiona, it rejoins an asphalt road. Cross it and continue towards the old oven of Festiona. Continue descending towards the valley bottom and, after passing through the village, cross the Stura river.

 

Variant 16A: Descend on the road and partly on a trail touching Upper and Lower Tetti Baut, and reaching Festiona where it intersects with the main route of Stage 16.

Variant 16B: From Prati di Rialpo along the Stura river, ascend the left orographic side of the valley reaching Tetti Culin, then Tetti Canton di Sant'Anna di Rialpo, and then the Colle di Valloriate from which, with a short descent, you reach Sapè Soprano.
