Occitan Routes: Stage 8 Borgata Ussolo - Borgata Chiappera

The itinerary ascends along the path of the previous stage that goes beyond some stone granges, evidence of ancient agricultural activities. At 1771 m of Gr. Chiotto Ligera you walk in wide pastures and the slope becomes steeper, among sparse larches, towards Colletto Serasin (2040 m). Here the view opens up to 360 ° and ranges from the middle to the upper valley, runs along the meadows of the Traversiera valley, up to the rocky peaks of the border. Go down first along the grassy cattle-track, then on agricultural track and finally on asphalt up to Lausetto hamlet where you turn right, already in view of the church of San Maurizio. After crossing the meadows behind the chapel, follow the long hillside path to reach the panoramic knoll of La Crocetta (1669 m) and then Chiappera.
