Departing from the FIAB Muoviti Chieri Cycle Workshop-at the Ex Slaughterhouse on Via Papa Giovanni XXIII-the route reaches the chapel of St. Irene, the Superghetta, whose dome recalls that of the basilica of Superga. Built in 1858 as a votive offering to save the vineyards from powdery mildew, it is the first of many treasures of this loop in the Oltre Collina Torinese, in the heart of the Biosphere Reserve of the UNESCO MaB Program, Collina Po.
The trail touches six municipalities: in Pavarolo the medieval castle with its tower and the House Museum of Felice Casorati; in Montaldo Torinese the Castle, Napoleon's Well, the Barbarossa Oak and a Big Bench overlooking the hill; in Andezeno the characteristic "Chiocciola," the panoramic loop around the historic center. The return to Chieri passes by the square of the Church of San Giorgio, with Monviso on the horizon on a clear day.
