The route offers beautiful views of the city and the surrounding countryside and is accessible from a separate entrance reserved for mountain bikes. Standing atop the Colle della Maddalena is the Faro della Vittoria, a statue donated to the city of Turin by Giovanni Agnelli to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Italy's victory in the First World War. For the ascent, after a pleasant approach from the city center along the Po river, one can choose trail no. 14 (ascent from Via Sabaudia). Upon reaching Pian del Lot, continue to the Faro della Vittoria, then descend along the single tracks of trails 12 and 16, returning to the riverbanks at Parco Leopardi.
From the entrance arch of Parco del Valentino, cross the Ponte Umberto I and turn right. Follow the bike path until passing Piazza Zara. Turn right onto Via Sabaudia and continue on asphalt and then dirt, staying on trail no. 14. From Pian del Lot continue uphill to Faro della Vittoria. From the Faro, crest over to the other side, cross the Panoramica road and take a short steep climb towards a small chapel. After the chapel, take trail no. 30 to the left.
