BARDONECCHIA Melmise Loop

At the crossroads of Via Modane – Via Cavour - Via Pra d'la Cumba, cross the bridge and take the path on the right that goes behind the condominium. At the first intersection, go straight and at the second take the right until you reach the mule track. Take it uphill and continue until you reach Croce Chabriere. Continuing uphill on the right, you reach Punta Melmise. From here, descend back towards the cross and take the mule track on the right that leads to Grange Casse, then reach Grange Il Collet, Vernets, Grangia La Moutte, and finally the starting bridge.

Road closed to motor vehicles

By car:

- A32 Motorway Torino - Bardonecchia, Bardonecchia exit

- State Road 24: Torino - Oulx and then State Road 335: Oulx - Bardonecchia

Once you reach Bardonecchia, head towards Borgovecchio and reach the bridge between Via Pra d'la Cumba and Via Modane

By train:

- line Torino Porta Nuova - Bardonecchia

From the Bardonecchia train station towards Borgovecchio and reach the bridge between Via Pra d'la Cumba and Via Modane

There are some parking spaces under the Tur d'Amun at the crossroads between Via Modane and Via Pra d'la Cumba.

Bring sufficient water supplies as there are no fountains along the route before the villages encountered on the return road.

Take a break at Punta Melmise for a picnic and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains and the town of Bardonecchia below.
