Castellania Oropa Itinerary | Stage 2 from Ovada to Novi Ligure

Another short hilly stage, aesthetically perfect, one of those routes we never want to see the end of, which we can make more challenging by visiting the numerous castles in the area: that of Tagliolo Monferrato, surrounded by its medieval village and that of Rocca Grimalda. Capriata d'Orba preserves some remains of the fortifications of the X-XII century and along the path among the vineyards we meet in order: the castle of Francavilla Bisio, the castle of Tassarolo and that of Pasturana. Waiting for us in Novi Ligure, the Museum dei Campionissimi, considered the greatest tribute to the history of the bicycle and cycling, as well as to the two champions Fausto Coppi and Costante Girardengo, originally from these lands.
