The route goes into the Valle della Rho until it reaches the characteristic hamlet of Grange La Rho. Initially, the road winds through forest hairpins then continues on a false flat along the hillside offering a wide view of the valley and surrounding mountains that persists along the entire track.
The route continues passing through a small tunnel carved into the rock and arrives at Pian dei Morti where, embedded in a rock, is Caserma L.
The route continues on a path leading to successively surpass several high mountain passes, the Colle della Rho, the Col de la Replanette and finally the Colle della Valle Stretta. In some stretches a bit of portage is necessary. The descent, along the Valle Stretta, is on path until Pian della Fonderia then continues on dirt road to the characteristic hamlet of Grange di Valle Stretta.
Technical advice by Andrea Calzati - Bike tour guide

From Piazza Campo della Fiera, go up along Viale San Rocco and then turn right onto Via San Giorgio. Continue straight on Via Tur d'Amun and then take a left uphill on Via Pra d'la Cumbe. Climb the many hairpin turns until you reach a dirt road on the left leading to Grange La Rho. Take it and, when almost at the hamlet, keep right towards Colle della Rho. The mule track rises with some hairpin bends and then continues along the hillside passing through a small tunnel until Pian dei Morti where Caserma L is located. From here the road gradually becomes a path and leads to Colle della Rho, then to Col de la Replanette and finally to Col de la Vallée Etroite, then descend along the Vallon de Tavernette to Pont de la Fonderie (some stretches are not rideable and some portage may be necessary); continue descending along the dirt road to Grange di Valle Stretta. To return to Bardonecchia follow the paved road to Pian del Colle and then to Melezet. At the church it is possible to enter the village, cross it and continue descending through the district of Les Arnauds until you reach Bardonecchia.
