We start the hike in Weisstannen, Oberdorf. First we walk along the ibex nature trail through alder forests and pastures. The path leads us past water sources and wooden bridges take us comfortably over the many streams. At the Seez we find a pleasant place to linger before the hike continues to Alp Vorsiez.
At the end of the village, the signpost leads to Vorsiez. After a few meters, the path turns right and leads us over a bridge to the other side of the stream. We now walk into the valley along hiking trail no. 1 Via Alpina to Vorsiez.

Day hiking backpack (approx. 20 liters) with rain cover, sturdy and comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate and hard-wearing clothing in multiple layers, telescopic poles if necessary, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water, first aid kit, pocket knife, cell phone, headlamp if necessary, maps
Take the highway exit Sargans/Mels, then follow the signs to Mels/Weisstannen.
Take the train to Sargans, continue by bus from Sargans station to the Pizolpark stop and then change to bus 432 to Weisstannen.
Limited public parking spaces available in Weisstannen (subject to charge)
We enjoy a delicious meal at Alp Vorsiez.
