The circular walk starts in the middle of the village of Tufertschwil and then always follows the windmills over meadows and through a forest around the Chapf.
Just after the last houses of the village of Tufertschwil, the path turns left and then leads on a natural path across a meadow. Shortly before the path goes through the forest, a spacious fire pit with a shelter invites you to a well-deserved break. The next meters in the forest are also the last ones with a noticeable uphill slope. Once you have managed this slight ascent, the path leads practically straight through the forest. At Hinterberg we leave the forest and now walk along a meadow path along a cow pasture to the hamlet of Altegg. From here, the hike leads on an asphalt road in a large arc via Felsenburg back to Tufertschwil. Here the Buurehof zum Aaluege as well as the terrace and large playground of the Rössli restaurant invite you to a well-deserved break.
When a breeze comes up, the handmade windmills along the path turn. Each of the windmills represents a profession practiced in Toggenburg: the service staff serves a beer, the carpenter planes, the cook stirs in the pan, and so on.
The attractive path was created on the occasion of the 1150-year anniversary of Rindal-Lütisburg.
