Camin de Comba Granda

"Lo camin de Comba Granda" is a historic iron and water path,
carrying human and Occitan values. It reveals a rural world that
one might think is dormant but which surprises by its dynamism
that discreetly mixes past and modernity. The path you will
travel takes you to the heart of this territory so well described
in the literary work "Comba Granda" by Léopold Durand, a farmer turned
Occitan writer, who experienced the great agricultural transformation, actor in
post-war rural development.
This work relates life on a farm, the site of a family saga from
1870 to 1939 where "cada arbre es lo plan vengut d’un terrador. Lo voler
faire brotar endacòm mai es pas totjorm mannat. Prengam garda,
pasmens, d’arroïnar pas las racinas…Every tree is welcome
from a territory. Wanting to make it grow elsewhere is not always easy. At
least, let’s be careful not to damage the roots…"
