Kulturroute

The cultural route connects cultural institutions of supra-regional importance in the state capital of Hanover and the surrounding regions - including Hildesheim. Four world cultural institutions await you here: the UNESCO World Heritage churches of St. Michaelis and St. Mary's Cathedral, the Cathedral Museum and the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum. If you follow the basic route beyond Hildesheim, you will also reach the UNESCO World Heritage Site Fagus Factory in Alfeld. The route is divided into several stages. From and to Hildesheim, for example, you can take the main routes 1 and 2 as well as the alternative route 9b. The stages are approx. 40 to 50 kilometers long, and there are also suggestions for shortcuts for those in a hurry. The starting and finishing points are easy to reach by public transport.
The highlights of the tour are clearly the cultural "beacons" of each city, but you will also be amazed by the surrounding nature.
