WHH Stage 1: Hann. Münden - Göttingen

The starting point for this tour is located at the train station in Hann. Münden.

From the station, the route leads through the historic old town with its many sights to the famous Weserstein. Where the Werra and Fulda "kiss," the Weser is formed. Hann. Münden is then left over the Werra bridge and the actual tour begins.

Along forested routes, the path stretches over several hills between the Weser and Leine valleys into the foothills of the Harz. Upon reaching Dransfeld, a break is well suited around the halfway point of the day's stage.

From the old railway track that leads down to Göttingen, there is already an impressive view of the university city, which is the destination of the first stage. There is ample time to explore the sights of the city center.
