Legendary panoramas are complemented by enchanted places inviting you to linger – foremost the imaginatively designed fairy tale forest. Living cultural history accompanies the path through the Wohra meadow with the Schmaleicher mill and the Fiddemühle, while at the holy oak on the approximately 320 m high Sosenberg, you reach a historically significant place. Once again, the fantastic all-around view from the Wohra valley to the northern located Kellerwald impresses. Passing the legendary Rabenstein, which with its holes and grooves resembles a Germanic sacrificial stone, you reach the castle hill. The ruins of the castle founded around 1100 and especially the fairy tale forest located by a watercourse delight you and your children alike.
A circular route counterclockwise is recommended.
15.9 km long, starting in the valley of the Wohra, past two old mills, ascent to the three holy oaks with panoramic views, then through meadows and forest to the castle ruins, followed by a steep descent at the fairy tale forest to the playground, returning along the forest edge with many beautiful views back to the hiking portal.

Sturdy footwear, weatherproof clothing, and a small trash bag are recommended because there are only a few trash bins along the way.
Good footwear, weather protection clothing – not suitable for strollers due to many path situations. Avoid forest path sections during storms. It can be slippery in places when wet.
Coming from the B3, drive through Schwabendorf and Rauschenberg to the REWE market and parking lot on the right side, a short walk to the Wohra bridge, then the Panoramaweg hiking portal is located on the left side.
The hiking portal in Rauschenberg can be reached via the destination stop "Rewe-Markt." You can get connection information at www.rmv.de. From there, it is 150 meters on foot.
Free parking spaces are directly next to the REWE parking lot.

Tip: I recommend a small detour here to Damms Hofcafe. Here, ice cream is made from the milk of their own cows, which is extremely tasty. A great atmosphere and a wonderful treat!
