The Piz Trovat II is a via ferrata for “cracks,” located in very (K5) to extremely (K6) difficult terrain. Strong upper arms, solid nerves, and very good fitness are required. The junction follows after the Cambrena ledge. Then the route becomes steadily more demanding. The first highlight is the 35-meter-long zip line. Afterwards, the long traverse offers a sensational panoramic view of the Bernina massif. Finally, at the key section, longer overhanging parts (up to 30 meters!) in the biceps wall require mountaineering skill.
ACCESS: Take the cable car up to 2978 meters. From the mountain station, a small path leads down in about 20 minutes to the start of the Piz Trovat I + II via ferratas.
DESCENT: The descent goes via the northeast ridge over rugged terrain and scree. Due to some rather steep sections, surefootedness should be given. Following the markings towards the Berghaus Diavolezza, you reach its sun terrace inviting you to linger.

The equipment can be rented at the valley station of the Diavolezza cable car.
Via ferrata scale K5–K6. Use at your own risk and responsibility. For the first ascent, it is recommended to take the company of a professional mountain guide from the Pontresina mountaineering school.
The ascent of via ferratas involves risks. Insufficient preparation, inadequate equipment, or incorrect behavior can lead to the danger of falling. The ascent of via ferratas is therefore only recommended with the necessary knowledge and good physical condition. Surefootedness and freedom from vertigo are required.
ADDITIONAL POINTS TO CONSIDER:
Only start in stable weather conditions
In case of thunderstorm danger, stay away from the metal and leave the via ferrata
Do not trigger rockfall and watch out for other climbers
Partner check at the start (helmet, climbing harness, and fall arrester)
Maintain sufficient distance (only one person between two fixed points)
Do not leave the via ferrata and always use the safety rope
Be considerate of fauna and flora. Take your trash with you
Do not enter closed via ferratas
Via ferrata set according to EN 958:2017 standard intended for users weighing between 40 kg and 120 kg.

The Piz Trovat II via ferrata is not suitable for minors and requires a minimum height of 1.60 meters.
