From Rosheim to Barr returning via Obernai, this route will take you through the vineyard and the plain. The circuit is possible from several towns. Electric-assisted bikes are available for rent. Information available from Tourist Offices.
Follow the EuroVelo 5 cycle route opposite the Tourist Office.
At the junction by the Hôtel Le Manoir, take the Route des Vins towards Mittelbergheim, then take the first right (Rue Oberpfloeck, which continues as Rue de l’Altenberg).
You will arrive at the ‘Moulin et ses jardins’.
Turn right twice to reach the “Jardin d’un brocanteur”.
At the crossroads, turn left onto Rue de la Stey, which continues as Rue de l’Ecole and Rue Neuve.
At the Tourist Office, turn left and follow the EuroVelo 5.
After 200 metres, you’ll arrive at the ‘Jardin de la Folie Marco’.
At the stop sign, turn right twice (Rue Degermann).
At the sports centre, continue straight ahead (Chemin de Gertwiller, Chemin Allmend).
Then turn left onto Rue de Barr

Take the first right, then Rue de Valff on the left.
At the Savonnerie du Piémont, take Chemin de Lurtz straight ahead, then the second right.
After the bridge over the motorway, turn left, then take the first right.
Bourgheim
In the fields at Bourgheim, follow the signs for Valff.

After the bridge over the river, turn left.
Take the second right to reach the ‘Jardin du Livre’.
At the Hôtel-Restaurant Au Soleil, turn left, then immediately right onto the path leading through the fields and follow the sign for Niedernai.
Once in Niedernai, follow the signposts towards Obernai.
Once you arrive in Obernai, follow the greenway along the River Ehn to the Remparts car park. After the public toilets, turn left and walk past the Art Nouveau-style market hall. Climb up onto the Maréchal Foch rampart. Then head left, cross the small car park and continue straight ahead along the Maréchal Joffre rampart, a peaceful, shaded route that runs alongside the former moat of the medieval rampart and its fortifications. At the junction by the Agneau d'Or restaurant, head straight on along the Mgr Caspar rampart. Turn left at the multi-storey car park and take Rue Brûlée, then Rue des Coqs. Turn left, then follow Rue de l'Angle to reach Obernai Municipal Park. This 4-hectare park offers benches and shade beneath majestic trees. To reach Bischoffsheim, take Route de Boersch on your right, then turn left up Rue de la Victoire. Take the second street on your left, Rue du Coteau, then follow a greenway and the signposting (Véloroute du vignoble / Eurovélo 5) to Bischoffsheim.
Once in Bischoffsheim, continue along the same route, following the same signposting (Véloroute du vignoble / Eurovélo 5) to Rosheim.
In Rosheim, in front of the Maison de l’enfance, turn left towards the town centre, then turn right onto Rue du Stade to join the Voie Verte.
Starting from the “Portes Bonheur, le chemin des carrières” greenway, follow this path to the old Ottrott railway station. After this, continue to the junction where there is an information board about the Ottrott castles. From here, head towards Bernardswiller.
Once in Bernardswiller, just before the roundabout where the D35 and D109 meet, turn left onto Chemin Krittweg. After the cemetery, turn right onto Rue de la Promenade, then, opposite, take Rue du Lavoir, which continues as Rue de la Schwemm.At the end, turn left, then right twice to head up Rue du Stade.
Heiligenstein
Take Rue Principale on the left, which continues as Rue Sultzer, to reach the Tourist Office.

- Ensure the perfect mechanical condition of the bike, including tires and brakes

- Respect other users as you would like them to respect you - Choose a route suitable for your physical abilities
- Inform those around you of your route
- Check the weather conditions
- A first aid kit is not essential but can be very useful
- Inform yourself and keep the emergency call numbers
- Respect the environment by not throwing your food wrappers on the roadside
- If you must return at nightfall, make sure you can see and be seen
The proposed routes have been studied to be as safe as possible. It is the cyclists' responsibility to respect the road signs and traffic code.
For departure from Rosheim: take the Rosheim exit (D35) from the D500,
For departure from Obernai: take exit 11 (from Strasbourg) or exit 12 (from Colmar) of the A35 motorway.
For departure from Barr: take exit 12 of the A35 motorway, direction Barr.
The circuit is accessible by train:
- Rosheim station (2 km from the circuit)
- Bischoffsheim station (550 m)
- Obernai station (200 m)
- Gertwiller station (430 m)
- Barr station (750 m)
Rosheim: Free parking at the old station, avenue Clémenceau.
Obernai: Free parking at the Ramparts, rue de l'Abbé Oesterlé.
Barr: Parking at Folie Marco
