Once a cross-country ski track, today Percorso Fuori is a versatile route suitable for many disciplines such as nordic walking, trail running, and sometimes snowshoeing. Excellent for simple walks even with school groups and for people approaching the mountains for the first time. Furthermore, it is structured as an interesting and modern educational route with panels made of actual sculptures, curated by the Natural Park of the Julian Prealps, which also maintains the route. The content of the panels ranges from interesting reflections on the nature of the border to aspects more related to the geological nature of the place.
Impossible to lose the way since the route is almost mandatory and abundantly signposted. The loop is traveled counterclockwise from Pian dei Ciclamini towards Passo Tanamea. The "turnaround" happens at the junction of trail CAI 711, which leads to Gran Monte, therefore without reaching the actual Pass.

A pair of good running shoes is sufficient to tackle Percorso Fuori, although mountain shoes are recommended.

From Tarcento take the former state road to Uccea up to Pian dei Ciclamini. From Zaga (SLO) take the state road to the Italian border and continue on the former state road to Pian dei Ciclamini.
TPL FVG
Line 260 Tarcento-Uccea is active only on Fridays and stops at Passo Tanamea.
Parking is available at the starting point.
