Cammino Via Flavia Stage 1 Lazzaretto (Muggia) – Bagnoli della Rosandra

The route begins at the intersection for Lazzaretto Marina and continues along a marked path to Muggia Vecchia, where you can visit the church of St. Christopher and the old Roman garrison. To reach the cathedral, follow the climb up Colarich Street following the yellow arrows.

You can choose between a long and gentle climb to the right or a steep one to the left leading to St. Barbara following the yellow arrow. It is possible to visit a castle and then follow the signs to the Noghere Little Lakes. A short visit to the Little Lakes is recommended by following the map at the entrance and then return to the main gravel road.

To reach the destination, follow a paved road to the village of Caresana, go through the woods and down into the village, passing through the neighbour of Crogole and taking the uphill path through the woods to Bagnoli della Rosandra, where there are two B&Bs.
