The route starts in Pordenone and follows secondary roads and bike paths to Sacile, known as the “Garden of the Serenissima.” Along the way, you’ll pass by Villa Correr Dolfin in Porcia and its park. After visiting Sacile’s historic center, the route continues along the Livenza River to Fiaschetti, where the short climb leading to Sarone begins. The route then descends to the Palù di Livenza pile-dwelling site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Immediately afterward, you’ll reach the splendid headwaters of the Livenza River and, further north, the spectacular Gorgazzo spring, which rises from a deep sinkhole. The route continues to the nearby village of Polcenigo, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages. From S. Giovanni di Polcenigo, you return toward Pordenone along a partially unpaved road that leads through the villages of Borgonuovo and Rorai Grande until you reach the historic center of Pordenone, surrounded by parks and resurgence ponds.

The route starts at the Pordenone train station and heads east by bike. You’ll pass through Rorai Piccolo and the Porcia neighborhood before reaching Sacile. From there, continue toward Caneva, heading toward Fiaschetti and Sarone. You’ll descend to the village of Palù di Livenza and then continue on to Gorgazzo until you reach Polcenigo. You’ll proceed toward S. Giovanni di Polcenigo and from there cycle toward Fontanafredda on dirt roads. You’ll reach the villages of Borgonuovo and Rorai Grande on the outskirts of Pordenone. You’ll pass through the historic center and return to the train station.
Near San Giovanni di Polcenico, you’ll need to cross the Artugna Stream at a ford, which is always dry. Exercise caution after heavy rains.
For those arriving from Venice, take the A27 Venice–Belluno highway to Conegliano, where you’ll merge onto the A28 highway toward Portogruaro; take the Pordenone exit
