Circular route over Kalzhofer Höhe

On Kalzhofer Straße, go straight past the secondary school and the sports field to Kalzhofen. Cross the district completely up to Haubers Alpenresort, then turn right along the golf greens on the Alpweg uphill. After a short forest crossing, you reach Obere Gsangalpe. Here the path splits. Straight ahead the hiking trail leads over alpine pastures uphill to the ridge line of Muttner and Kalzhofer Höhe. We follow the route of the Allgäu hiking trilogy and can orient ourselves on the blue and red markings.

At the pass height of the Hompessenalpweg, the path then goes downhill on pavement back to Kalzhofen and returns to Oberstaufen via a loop towards Wengen.
