Thalkirchdorf - Salmaser Höhe

From the parking lot at the Thaler festival hall, take the footpath towards Lamprechts through the tunnel crossing of the B 308. Continue left on the road to Lamprechts, then right and above the railway line on the footpath towards Salmas.

At the railway crossing, turn right onto the paved alpine path and follow it uphill. After the next farm, keep right at the junction and continue uphill to the Glockenalpe. From here we follow the meadow path to the summit of the Salmaser Höhe.

From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view in all directions. A short stretch along the ridge, then descend via Schneiders Alpe to the managed Alpe Schneidberg. Continue downhill on the wide gravel road to Wiedemannsdorf and back to the starting point at the festival hall.
