Hike - To Kreut-Alm and the Open-Air Museum Glentleiten
From the starting point at the town hall, the flat path first passes the Hagrain Chapel, through meadows and forests, slightly ascending to the “Hohe Tanne,” 900 m, a beautiful viewpoint. Through magnificent high forest, the path leads on level ground and then gently descending to the Kreut-Alm mountain guesthouse and to the nearby, somewhat lower Open-Air Museum at Glentleiten (visit). From there you have a beautiful view over Lake Kochel up to the Benediktenwand. This hike is highly rewarding. The return route can be made via the main and state stud farm Schwaiganger.

The hiking and cycling paths described by us primarily serve forest management, their use is at your own risk (§ 14 para. 1 BWaldG).
By train: To Ohlstadt station. From there it is about 1.5 kilometers to the starting point at the town hall. From the station, follow Bahnhofweg first and then turn left onto Partenkirchener Straße. The main road leads right to the starting point at the town hall.
By bus: Get off at the Ohlstadt town center bus stop and then follow the street "Am Dorfbach" up to the town hall (a total of about 350 meters walking distance)
Coming from Munich via the A95 (exit Murnau/Kochel) and from Garmisch-Partenkirchen via the B2.

Bus lines: 9607 Murnau - Ohlstadt - Ettal and back (Note: Service only on Saturdays during school days of the Ettal monastery school!)
9611 Kochel - Schlehdorf - Großweil - Ohlstadt - Murnau (Note: The Open-Air Museum Glentleiten is only served from April to October!)
