The farm round is a wonderful panoramic route around the hamlets near Bad Kohlgrub through several farms. The cultural landscape shaped by traditional, small-scale agriculture is especially tangible here. It starts at the sports center parking lot in Bad Kohlgrub or optionally, for public travelers, at Bad Kohlgrub train station. The 8.7 km long path leads over meadow paths, field paths, and asphalt paths and is relatively flat (141 m elevation gain). Along the way, several narrow gates must be passed, so the route is unsuitable for strollers. At first, you walk over a grassy ridge offering a fantastic view of the mountain panorama and Staffelsee lake. Scattered benches invite you to pause. Highlights of the route are the many animals from the farms on the pastures such as sheep, cows, calves, horses, and chickens. The circular route runs directly across individual farms, providing insight into their daily routine. Especially on hot days, the short passages through the forests offer a welcome cool-down. On the return, a detour leads through the Sprittelsberg district before, after a short walk, you reach a small chapel adjoining a farm. Overall, the route invites you to an extensive walk, with the chance to observe some animals from the farms on their pastures.
The comfortable circular route starts at the parking lot of the sports center in Bad Kohlgrub or optionally, for public travelers, at the train station of Bad Kohlgrub. From the sports field, proceed after the underpass initially towards the train station. Before reaching the station, turn left and cross a railroad crossing. Follow the road to Steigrain and orient yourself by the signage leading to a grassy path. This path takes us across various pastures to a field path toward the first farm. On the now well-asphalted road, we pass the Jägerhaus, which invites you to stop for refreshments. Passing the neighboring horse paddocks, we follow a field path to the left and thus begin the return route. Over meadows and forests, we take a detour to Sprittelsberg. This village, strongly shaped by agriculture, allows us to refill our water bottles at the village fountain. Then we continue over green fields to Grub, where we pass a beautiful old chapel. The further signage then leads us back to Bad Kohlgrub to the sports field.

Follow the tracks west towards Erlestraße, then turn right and cross the tracks. Immediately afterwards, turn left towards the sports field. You have reached the starting point of the panoramic route.
