Forest View Path - Ettal Monastery Linderhof Castle

The route starts at Ettal Monastery. To join the route, you need to follow the hiking signs towards Graswang or Linderhof. We leave Ettal and walk away from road traffic towards Graswang. We always stay at the edge of the forest and do not cross the road near the Ettaler Mill! In winter, participants of the König Ludwig Lauf run along the same path. We follow the path to Graswang. Shortly before Graswang, turn left just before a stone bridge and continue along the road. Now the path goes a little longer through the shady forests, which offers a real refreshment in the summer heat, until we reach a dried-up stream bed. Here we must turn right and continue on the path. We cross the stream bed on a bridge at the state road! Always follow the signs towards Linderhof. Shortly before Linderhof Castle, we have to cross the road once, and we have reached our destination!

To return to Ettal, you can take the same path. However, there are other options, such as the Sonnenweg to Graswang and then continue following the signs to Ettal.
