From the station, head east on Immenstädter Straße to the edge of town. We turn right onto a wide footpath that leads down along the street into the Wengen valley. At the inn "Wengener Gasthöfle" we turn left and follow the street uphill all the way to the district Tronsberg with the Marian chapel.

At the outskirts of town, turn left to Wuchers-Alpe. We now follow the toll road past Kasparhütte downhill to Kalzhofen. Those wishing to visit the Maria Immaculata chapel in the St. Maria children's home turn left at the junction and follow Meeraustraße for about 200 meters. The hike continues uphill on Meeraustraße, past the hotel "Haubers Gutshof", into the picturesque Schwarzenbachtal. We cross the golf course and after a short forest section reach the village of Zell with its beautiful St. Bartholomew chapel.

For enthusiastic hikers, there is also the option to make a detour to Genhofen on the marked Jacob's Way (shell symbol) to the chapel of St. Stephan.

The actual return route leads us from Zell to Buflings and back to Oberstaufen on the footpath.
